Wilfried Zaha has posted a somewhat cryptic message on Twitter as Crystal Palace continue to struggle since the restart having lost seven of their eight Premier League matches – and Arsenal fans have responded.
Palace sit in 14th place despite the run of results and are more than safe – with 18th-placed Watford on 34, eight behind Roy Hodgson’s struggling Eagles. But the run of seven losses is worrying for Palace fans.
With the new season set to start in six weeks time, Palace fans are concerned that this is a sign of things to come. Zaha, meanwhile, has seen his form coincide with Palace struggling to conjure up any points.
Indeed, the 27-year-old has managed just one goal and no assists since the restart. The Ivory Coast international posted on Twitter – seemingly discussing Palace’s form, claiming “success and failure are both part of life”.
Zaha’s future is likely to be a topic for discussion this summer again, as he almost joined Everton last summer. The Sun claim Newcastle could consider a move for the £60million-rated star, if a takeover goes through.
The winger has been linked with Arsenal and Zaha recently told Rio Ferdinand that to be linked with the club he supports was “amazing”. Arsenal fans responded to his Tweet, urging him to swap Palace for the Emirates.
