A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on what they are now hearing about Ben White, with the defender set to be rewarded for his fine start to the season.

What’s the story?

White has been superb of late, particularly since he started playing alongside Gabriel Magalhaes. And of course, the pair produced colossal performances in Sunday’s North London derby.

Plenty of supporters suggested that White was outstanding in the win. He did a superb job of keeping Harry Kane quiet.

The 23-year-old may now have to prepare for a change of plans over the international break.

According to the Guardian, White is set to be recalled into the England squad having been a part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2020.

The centre-back did not feature this summer. But it was still a remarkable achievement given that he had not made his Premier League debut before the start of last season.

Unsurprisingly, Arsenal fans are a little divided about the news about White making the England squad.

Of course, most are absolutely delighted and feel that he deserves the call-up. Some have also joked that Kane may have nightmares following his performance against the striker at the weekend.

But there is also a worry about him getting injured. They will certainly hope that he comes through unscathed.
