Arsenal fans react to Sead Kolasinac’s display at Liverpool

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that Unai Emery needs to offload Sead Kolasinac after his display against Liverpool on Wednesday.

The Gunners are out of the Carabao Cup after an extraordinary game at Anfield. The two sides drew 5-5, before Liverpool went through on penalties.

It was a game of incredible attacking play and finishing. But it was also a contest that saw some calamitous defending from both sides. And Kolasinac appears to have been one of the main offenders.

He could certainly take some of the blame for the opening goal. A long ball down Liverpool’s right flank saw Kolasinac caught out of position, and that allowed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to get the cross in that Shkodran Mustafi turned into his own net.

The Reds looked dangerous on Kolasinac’s side of the pitch. And it appears that many Arsenal fans now want a permanent switch, with Kieran Tierney becoming the first-choice left-back in the squad.

The 26-year-old appears to have struggled for form for some time now. And some of the supporters have suggested that he, along with Granit Xhaka and Mustafi, should be shown the door in the near future.

Some believe that he is a liability, and feel that the defence looks much stronger when they have Tierney playing at left-back.
