Arsenal fans react to reports club are interested in Gent star Jonathan David

Arsenal fans have been reacting to the club’s reported interest in in-form Gent star Jonathan David.

Jeunes Footeaux claimed earlier this week that the Gunners are one of several teams keen on signing the Canada international, who has wowed this season with some brilliant form.

In 35 appearances, the 20-year-old has bagged 19 goals and also made 10 assists across all competitions.

Those are fantastic numbers considering he has played the majority of games as an attacking midfielder.

David has been with the Belgian outfit since January 2018 after joining from the Ottawa Internationals SC.

Jeunes Footeaux say David’s amazing form this season and potential have also drawn the gaze of Leicester, Everton, RB Leipzig, Napoli, Lazio and Lyon.

Gunners scouts are said to be impressed with the way David is able to operate anywhere in attack comfortably.

It is little surprise to see the north Londoners linked with fine young talent like David, with attacking Emirates stars Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette having all been linked with summer exits.
