Arsenal are being linked with Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have reacted negatively to the speculation that he’s on their transfer radar.
The Sun reports that the Gunners are interested in trying to sign the 26-year-old, claiming that he’s a top priority ahead of the January transfer window next month.
It is understood that the Spaniard would be keen on a switch to the Premier League from La Liga and that Sevilla would be willing to listen to offers for bids in the region of £32million.
Jordan, who only joined Sevilla from Eibar in 2019, is a well-rounded central midfielder that usually helps dictate play from deeper areas and can be creative from set-pieces.
He helped his Spanish club secure qualification earlier this season to the Champions League last-16 and featured in both group stage matches against English opposition Chelsea.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media don’t feel he’s the target they need at the Emirates Stadium in the New Year, with one suggesting he could be a “Willian-type” signing for them.
Mikel Arteta’s side signed Brazilian attacker Willian in the summer on a free transfer after his contract at Chelsea expired and he’s on a £192,000-a-week deal (Spotrac).
Despite a quick start to his Gunners career, the 32-year-old has struggled for form during the majority of the season and is viewed as a flop.
