Arsenal are considering a move for Wolves striker Raul Jimenez, according to reports in AS.
The Gunners are preparing for life without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona this month (Mundo Deportivo).
Jimenez, who cost Wolves £30m from Benfica in 2018 (Guardian), is seen as a natural replacement for the 30-year-old striker. Some fans on Twitter are very excited by the links to the Wolves man.

The Mexican has had an impressive second season in the Premier League. He has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 23 games and is maintaining his reputation as one of the league’s most dangerous strikers.
His goals have taken Wolves to sixth place, level on points with Manchester United and just six behind Chelsea in fourth place. The club are also still in the Europa League and face Espanyol in the last-32 stage of the competition.

Arsenal are a team in transition. New manager Mikel Arteta will want to get rid of any players that are not 100% committed to the club and bring in new, hungry players that fit his style. Aubameyang is keen on playing Champions League football and that is not something the Gunners will be able to offer anytime soon.
The Gabonese striker is the club’s top scorer this season and would be a big loss if he moved on. However, Jimenez would certainly soften the blow. Here is some of the reaction from Arsenal fans on Twitter:
