Arsenal are interested in signing Olympiacos defender Pape Abou Cisse this summer, according to a report by 90Min.
They report that the Gunners watched the 23-year-old centre half extensively last season and want him regardless of whether William Saliba gets over the line.
The report also says that Cisse – who is a towering presence at 6ft 6in – is valued at around £10 million by the Greek club, putting him within Arsenal’s summer budget.
Arsenal’s scouts reportedly believe he’s ready to become a regular starter at the Emirates Stadium, and it’s likely he’d be thrust centre stage anyway – especially with the uncertainty over captain Laurent Koscielny’s future.

The report got a mixed response from Gunners fans on Twitter, but the overwhelming consensus was that not many of them have seen Cisse play before.
That could mean he’s something of a hidden gem – and he does play in a position where Arsenal badly need improvements – but some supporters aren’t convinced and would prefer more of a household name.
Cisse’s lack of experience and notoriety need not stop him from being a success or good value transfer for Unai Emery, however…
