Arsenal have emerged as one of the club’s interested in completing a deal to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney – and the Gunners fan base have been reacting on Twitter.

Mikel Arteta will try to continue his squad rebuild during the summer month and some more firepower looks set to be targeted.

The Gunners will probably have to fork out £30 million to sign the 24-year-old who has scored 25 goals in all competitions this season.

TEAMtalk claims that West Ham and Leeds United are also monitoring the situation and Arteta might need to act quickly in order to take him across London.

Toney only arrived at the Bees in the summer transfer window but his devastating form in the second tier is already altering Premier League clubs.

Arsenal could find themselves in the market for a striker or two in the summer, as Arteta weighs up whether to offload some of his current stars.

Alexandre Lacazette could leave, whilst Eddie Nketiah has also fallen way down the pecking order in North London.

If both of those players were to leave, it would see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the only striker in Arteta’s ranks.
