The latest reports have claimed that Aston Villa rate Jack Grealish at a figure of £80million ahead of the summer market with the Midlands side’s skipper attracting Manchester City – but Arsenal fans think their club still have a chance of signing him.
Grealish, 25, has taken his form to a whole new level this season – having a hand in 18 goals during his 22 Premier League appearances. Scoring six times, the Villa captain has laid on a whopping 12 assists. He has a contract at Villa until 2025.
The Telegraph claims he is rated at £80million, with Manchester City looking to sign the England international this summer to strengthen their bid for a fourth Premier League title in five seasons – next time around. He earns £135,000 a week (Mail).
Arsenal do have numerous options in attacking midfield but Martin Odegaard is only on loan from Real Madrid, without a permanent clause in his contract. Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe continue to shine in attacking midfield.
Joe Willock also remains on the books. Arsenal fans have responded to the reports of Grealish’s price tag and many feel they should be interested. One fan suggested that if they spent £72million on Nicolas Pepe, then they need to go after Grealish.
