Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette is wanted by Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid in order to replace Antoine Griezmann, according to the Daily Mirror.
They report that the French striker is on Diego Simeone’s radar as he sets about replacing goals of Lacazette’s countryman, who looks set to move to Barcelona.
Lacazette cost a reported £46.5 million (BBC) back in 2017 and is one of Arsenal’s top talents – but also potentially one of the players who could boost Unai Emery’s low transfer budget if he were to leave the club this summer.
But Arsenal fans do not appear to want the striker to leave – he was one of the top performers at the Emirates Stadium last season and his partnership with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dragged the Gunners through at times.

They are keen for him to stay at the club and many do not believe his head will be turned at all, despite the fact that the Spanish club can offer Champions League football.
We’ve put together the best of the reaction as Arsenal fans start to hope that Lacazette won’t leave the club and dine at Europe’s top table once more…
