Arsenal fans react to performance of Salah Oulad M'Hand during EFL Trophy win

Arsenal under-21s kept alive their EFL Trophy hopes with a stunning 4-3 win over Newport last night. In Salah Oulad M’Hand, the Gunners look to have a potential star on their books.

Salah scored the second of Arsenal’s goals, with the Gunners trailing 3-2 going into the final five minutes of the contest.

James Olayinka equalised in the 86th minute with Charles Sagoe Junior completing a stunning comeback for the young Gunners.

Arsenal can now progress to the knockout stages of the competition and face Plymouth next month.

The game served to highlight some of the quality in the Arsenal youth ranks. Salah’s free-kick did prove to be the pick of the bunch though.

The young midfielder checked in at Arsenal from Feyenoord and has become a mainstay in the under-23 outfit.

He has scored in the last two games against Manchester City and Brighton and also recently registered an assist against Manchester United.

Salah is growing into a fine player at Arsenal. He also registered an assist last night and his form is improving all the time.

Prior to signing for Arsenal, he was a regular for the Feyenoord youth teams and caught the eye.

Interestingly, Arsenal keep getting linked with midfielders and it seems clear that Mikel Arteta would like another player in that position.

If Salah continues playing as he is right now, Arsenal might change their strategy somewhat. The club has a proud history with talented prospects and Charlie Patino has also caught the eye this season.

Salah boasts a little bit of flair though and that could help him catch the attention of the Gunners boss.

Supporters were mightily impressed with the young Dutchman and after the game, they took to Twitter to discuss his recent heroics.
