Arsenal fans react to performance of Folarin Balogun during under-19 victory

Arsenal’s under-23s roared from 3-2 behind to win 4-3 against Monaco to reach the next round of the Premier League International Cup.

The Gunners won a rollercoaster of a game by the odd goal thanks to two goals apiece for Zech Medley and Folarin Balogun.

Moussa Sylla, Owen Maes and a brace from Enzo Millot couldn’t prevent defeat for the French outfit.

Steve Bould’s men were largely impressive throughout and Balogun, in particular, looks like being a strong prospect.

The 18-year-old has been a real goal machine this season in the Premier League 2, netting 10 goals and registering four assists.

He was on the bench for a 5-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup earlier this season but didn’t get on the pitch.

The teenager looks set for a bright future and it remains to be seen whether he is currently catching Mikel Arteta’s eye with his prolific performances.

He followed up two goals in a 4-2 defeat to Manchester City with another brace last night and he clearly knows where the net is.
