A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Nuno Tavares after his performance in their Carabao Cup tie with Wimbledon on Wednesday.
The Gunners are into the fourth round of the competition. However, it was not quite the emphatic victory for Mikel Arteta’s side that some may have been expecting.

Alexandre Lacazette got the opening goal from the penalty spot for the home side. Emile Smith Rowe doubled the lead fairly late on during the second-half before Eddie Nketiah added another.
The Arsenal boss, perhaps surprisingly, opted for a strong lineup at the Emirates ahead of this weekend’s North London Derby.
But there were some changes. And one of those who came into the team was Tavares, with Kieran Tierney being left out altogether.

It was not a perfect performance from the Portuguese. But he certainly showed glimpses of his potential with his display.
He completed more dribbles than any other player on the pitch (Whoscored).
And he actually came close to doubling Arsenal’s lead midway through the second-half as he hit the post from a Gabriel Martinelli cross.
The game marked only Tavares’ second start since his move to the Premier League in the summer.
And obviously, fans are wary of getting carried away given that they were up against lower league opposition.

But many have taken to social media to express how impressed they were with his display in the victory.
They certainly believe that they have a very bright prospect in the 21-year-old.
