Arsenal fans have taken to social media following the news that Spotify owner Daniel Ek is working alongside Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira in a potential club takeover.

The Telegraph report that Ek, who has an estimated worth of £3.4bn, is serious about buying Arsenal, the club he supports, off Stan Kroenke, who has been under massive fire in the past week following his involvement in a proposed European Super League, which the Gunners had signed up to compete in.

Fans protested outside the Emirates Stadium in a Kroenke Out movement in an attempt to get the American businessman to sell the club, and this latest update has sent Arsenal supporters into hysteria on social media given the players Ek has recruited to help takeover the north London club.

Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say on Twitter about the news…

Josh Kroenke told Arsenal supporters last week in a fans forum via Sky Sports News that KSE have no intention of selling the club, and that the ownership group will be investing in the squad in the summer transfer window.
