Arsenal fans react to Kieran Tierney's display in Aston Villa defeat
Arsenal fans may not have been given a lot to smile about during their 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Tuesday night, but Kieran Tierney’s display did appear to leave the supporters with one positive to reflect upon.
The Gunners had gone a goal down during the first-half at Villa Park. And after not exactly flying out of the blocks at the start of the second-half, Mikel Arteta did not wait too long to make changes.

Tierney was amongst those brought on on the hour-mark. And he immediately threatened to make a vital impact as he played a gorgeous ball through to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Unfortunately, the forward was unable to play the right pass inside the box and the chance passed the visitors by.

Soon after, Tierney produced a fantastic cross. Once again however, the ball did not find its way onto an Arsenal head.
It was a disappointing night for the Gunners. But Tierney’s introduction appeared to be a catalyst for an improvement.
And following the game, plenty of Arsenal fans lauded the summer signing. They have suggested that he was a shining light on a poor evening for Arteta’s side.
Admittedly, there were some who struggled to take any positives from the game, and actually did not think that Tierney was that impressive. But it does appear that the majority were left wondering why Arteta did not hand the youngster a starting spot.
Here is how some of the supporters reacted to some of the bright moments from Tierney during the second-half…
