Arsenal fans react to Kieran Tierney’s debut display

Several Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to laud Kieran Tierney’s performance on his Gunners debut as Unai Emery’s men stormed into the next round of the Carabao Cup.

Tierney went into this week still awaiting the chance to make his Arsenal debut. BBC Sport reported that the Gunners spent £25 million to bring him to the Emirates from Celtic. But he arrived while working his way back from injury.

He is now back fit. And Arsenal fans got their first glimpse of the full-back against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night as he played 77 minutes against the Championship side.

And it appears that the Gunners supporters are incredibly excited about Tierney’s potential. He certainly provided a glimpse of why Arsenal decided to spend an eight-figure fee to bring him to North London.

Tierney put in some brilliant crosses in the 5-0 win, and he dealt with any questions asked of his defensive ability with minimal fuss.

And following the emphatic win, plenty of Arsenal fans have suggested that Emery needs to think about starting Tierney against Manchester United on Monday.

They certainly feel that his debut was worth the wait. And they cannot wait to see how good he can be once he is fully up to speed in the coming weeks.
