Arsenal fans react to Kieran Tierney starting Vitoria clash

Plenty of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to express their concern that Unai Emery has hinted that Sead Kolasinac will start against Leicester City this weekend after Kieran Tierney was named in the Gunners’ lineup for their clash with Vitoria.

The Gunners face the Portuguese side looking to put one foot in the knockout stages of the Europa League. Three points will all but guarantee their progression to the next stage.

With Arsenal set to stay top of the group whatever happens, Emery has made eight changes from the side that drew with Wolves at the weekend. The likes of Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are not involved.

It would not be a surprise if they were being rested for Saturday’s trip to the King Power Stadium. But the fans fear that Emery has dropped another selection hint ahead of the weekend with his lineup.

Possible weekend selection hint?

Tierney has taken some time to really get going since moving to the Emirates in the summer due to injury. But he is already proving to be a hit with the fans. They are already impressed with the former Celtic man, and plenty believe that he should be the first-choice in that position.

He could end up starting two games in a week. But with Emery seemingly struggling not to spring a selection surprise at the moment, it appears that plenty fear that the Arsenal boss may have already decided that Kolasinac will be the man to face Leicester.

Here is what some of the supporters made of the decision to pick Tierney…
