Josh Kroenke has given an interview to Arsenal’s official website – tweeted out by the club’s Twitter account – where he gives his view on the state of the club.
He told fans to remain optimistic ahead of the new season despite the lack of movement in the transfer market during a hugely important window.
When asked what he would say to the fans, Kroenke said: “I would say ‘be excited’. There are a few things that I know our group are working on, and a few things we hopefully have on the doorstep.
“Our ambitions are silverware. Silverware and trophies. I think anything short of that is not a success. There are certain things that you have to do to lay foundations to achieve those goals, and I think we’ve done that.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, plenty of Arsenal fans took to Twitter in order to take a swipe at what they see as an empty interview if it isn’t backed up by action which creates change.
They don’t believe that the current regime will put the money required into the club in order to get the players in and change the mentality around the place.
There’s plenty of frustration among the supporters right now and this interview has only stirred that up further.
