He told fans to remain optimistic ahead of the new season despite the lack of movement in the transfer market during a hugely important window.
When asked what he would say to the fans, Kroenke said: “I would say ‘be excited’. There are a few things that I know our group are working on, and a few things we hopefully have on the doorstep.
“Our ambitions are silverware. Silverware and trophies. I think anything short of that is not a success. There are certain things that you have to do to lay foundations to achieve those goals, and I think we’ve done that.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly, plenty of Arsenal fans took to Twitter in order to take a swipe at what they see as an empty interview if it isn’t backed up by action which creates change.
They don’t believe that the current regime will put the money required into the club in order to get the players in and change the mentality around the place.
There’s plenty of frustration among the supporters right now and this interview has only stirred that up further.

I don't believe it until you actually do something to show it. Invest, show up consistently and actually demonstrate some ambition towards the club(not just profiting and milking it dry).?⚪ #WeCareDoYou

This interview and the "open letter" is just smoking mirrors to avoid their responsibility towards financial support, a club like Arsenal should be in Champions league football. What we are seeing from this window is nothing short of embarrassment #WeCareDoYou

Sell off the club if you can’t inject money

Silverware does not come from empty words. It comes from positive investment in your team. Fans are doing their best, supporting and buying kits because #WeCareDoYou??
