A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Sunday Mirror (11/7; page 76) claiming that the Gunners are one of the sides to have registered an interest in signing Isco.
Arsenal have made an encouraging start to the window. Some players have left. And Nuno Tavares looks set to be the first of many new faces through the Emirates door.

And perhaps one of those new faces could prove to be Isco. According to the Sunday Mirror (11/7; page 76), Arsenal have registered an interest in signing the 29-year-old.
It is claimed that Spurs and AC Milan also want the Spain international. Meanwhile, he could cost just £6 million if Real Madrid decide to sell him. His contract expires next summer.

In truth, it is hard to imagine Edu making a bid for Isco. There is no question that he is a fantastic player.
However, he will surely command huge wages. And he has arguably not realised his full potential at the Bernabeu. He is also edging towards the latter stages of his career at the very highest level.
And that may explain why many Arsenal fans seem incredibly underwhelmed by the links.
