Henrikh Mkhitaryan played a starring role last night as Roma and Juventus played out an entertaining 2-2 draw – and Arsenal fans were impressed with their former player.
The 31-year-old signed a permanent deal with the Serie A outfit earlier this year, having failed to make an impact with the Gunners.
Roma were impressed with the playmaker after he scored nine goals in 22 appearances for Paulo Fonseca’s team during a loan spell with the club.
Last night he claimed an assist for Jordan Veretout who twice put Roma ahead, only for Cristiano Ronaldo to peg them back and earn a share of the spoils.
Mkhitaryan was part of the deal which saw Alexis Sanchez leave for Manchester United – with the Armenian coming to the Emirates Stadium as a makeweight.
He never quite scaled dizzy heights for the Gunners struggling for game time and subsequently consistency.
Having watched him in action last night, however, some Arsenal supporters think there is a good player in Mkhitaryan if utilised right.
Many think he could have shone under Mikel Arteta had he been give a chance to impress under his stewardship.
Despite that, some do think Arsenal were right to offload him when they did, despite him impressing in Italy.
Here is a selection of Tweets from the Gunners faithful as Mkhitaryan shines against Juventus in Serie A.
Yes very inconsistent player. You do not know what you get with him! On his day though, he is quite a player

I can’t believe it’s the same player when I watch Roma. Don’t even recognise him.
