A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Hector Bellerin after the right-back produced a superb assist for Real Betis on Sunday.

The Gunners appear to have uncovered a potential gem after signing Takehiro Tomiyasu during the final stages of the summer transfer window.

That move opened the door for Bellerin to join Manuel Pellegrini’s men on loan for the season.

Tomiyasu has made a very bright start. And Bellerin is also seemingly making a positive impression with Los Verdiblancos.

He registered an assist on Sunday as Betis drew 2-2 with Espanyol. He managed to take two players out of the equation with a brilliant sliding challenge to keep the ball in play.

The Spaniard then found Nabil Fekir inside the box. And the attacking midfielder made the most of the chance to put Betis 2-1 up.

There has been a mixed reaction amongst Arsenal fans on social media following Bellerin’s assist for Betis.

Some have insisted that his contribution in the final third is proof that Mikel Arteta was not getting the best out of Bellerin.

But most seem to be hoping that this is the start of a very good season for the 26-year-old – to ensure that Arsenal can command a considerable fee next summer.

The Gunners are well-stocked at right-back right now. And if Tomiyasu kicks on, Bellerin will not necessarily be needed back in North London.
