Arsenal fans react to Emile Smith Rowe contract reports

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the Daily Mail this week concerning Emile Smith Rowe’s future.

Smith Rowe has been superb for Mikel Arteta’s men in recent weeks. He has actually only made five starts in the Premier League this term.

But he has made the most of his opportunity. And at the moment, he surely has to be considered one of the first names on Arteta’s teamsheet.

Of course, given his age, there are going to be times when the 20-year-old struggles to make such an impressive impact. In some ways, there were glimpses of that in the recent stalemate with Crystal Palace.

But there is no question that Arsenal appear to have a star on their hands. And the Gunners are seemingly ready to reward the attacking midfielder in the near future.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Arsenal are confident that they will agree fresh terms with the academy graduate before the start of next season.

It is claimed that Smith Rowe could see his wages go from £15,000-a-week to around £40,000-a-week.

Unsurprisingly, the news has gone down incredibly well amongst Arsenal fans on social media. Many have insisted that he is more than deserving of the new deal.

He is slowly approaching the final two years of his current terms. So the supporters are relieved to see the situation should be resolved before any speculation can start up.

It is clear that many think that it would be yet another step in the right direction for the Gunners.

With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
