Arsenal fans react to Alexandre Lacazette’s display at Leicester

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Alexandre Lacazette’s display as the Gunners produced a superb performance to beat Leicester 3-1 on Sunday.

It appeared set to be another frustrating afternoon for Mikel Arteta’s men in the early stages at the King Power Stadium. They found themselves a goal down inside six minutes.

However, Arsenal were able to turn the game around in some style. And one of those to get on the scoresheet was Lacazette. The Frenchman scored from the penalty spot to put the visitors in front.

He also played an important role in Arsenal’s third goal. And plenty of fans have taken to social media to insist that he was one of the standout performers in a hugely impressive victory.

Many felt that his hold-up play was absolutely flawless. Remarkably, he was actually the player to complete more dribbles than anyone else, according to Whoscored.

The 29-year-old is now back as Arsenal’s top goalscorer in the Premier League this season. And for some, it is a reminder of why the Gunners cannot consider selling him this summer.

The Sun claimed earlier this month that he could be allowed to move. His £150,000-a-week deal expires at the end of next season. And thus, his future is uncertain.

‘Hope he gets a new contract’

But some clearly think that he needs to remain at the Emirates beyond this season, with his latest performance highlighting how important he can be.
