A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mirror concerning Ainsley Maitland-Niles’s immediate future at the Emirates.

Maitland-Niles has struggled to hold down a place in Mikel Arteta’s plans this term. He has made just five starts in the Premier League, with a further six appearances coming from the bench.

The Mirror claims that several Premier League sides are set to be alerted by the 23-year-old’s stance.

Maitland-Niles arguably has the quality to be a star for Arsenal in the coming years. However, his development is in danger of stagnating should he remain on the periphery of the squad.
