Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Willy Boly interest reports

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun over the weekend suggesting that the Gunners are interested in Willy Boly.

It has already been a turbulent season for Unai Emery’s men. They sit third in the Premier League and have lost just once this term. Nevertheless, their defence has had plenty of questions asked of it already.

The likes of David Luiz and Sokratis have come in for plenty of criticism. The 1-0 win against Bournemouth on Sunday saw the Gunners keep their first clean sheet in the league since the opening day victory at Newcastle.

The Sun suggests that it is an area of the pitch that Emery is looking to strengthen. And that has prompted the Arsenal boss to take an interest in Wolves defender Boly.

The 28-year-old has been an inspired signing for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men. He played a crucial role in Wolves’s promotion to the top flight, and their seventh-place finish in their first year back at English football’s top table.

The Sun reports that Wolves are keen to keep Boly, who cost £10 million. But it is suggested that they could sell if they are offered the chance to double their money – it must be noted that the Molineux faithful have slammed the idea that he may come so cheap.

Arsenal fans divided?

Interestingly, Arsenal fans appear to be showing little interest in a deal also. There are some who believe that Boly would be a good addition to their ranks. But the reaction is definitely divided.

Some have suggested that he would not be a worthwhile signing and hope that the Gunners do not follow up on their reported interest in the centre-back.

Here is what some of the Arsenal fans make of the reports…
