It is difficult to remember the last transfer window in which Wilfried Zaha was not linked with a move, and this summer may not be any different with Arsenal linked with a bid for the forward back in March.

The Sun suggested that the Gunners were still monitoring the Ivory Coast international. Of course, most teams have probably had to change their plans quite dramatically since March.

But that may not stop Mikel Arteta holding out some hope of signing Zaha in the future – particularly after the Crystal Palace talisman’s latest display.

Roy Hodgson’s men may have been beaten by Chelsea on Tuesday night, but Zaha provided a reminder of his quality with a stunning goal during the first-half.

And following the goal, plenty of Arsenal fans took to social media to laud Zaha.

Some suggested that it was potentially the goal of the season, while others were adamant that the strike showed why Arteta needs to bring him in this summer.
