Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Sead Kolasinac’s display

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Sead Kolasinac’s performance during the Gunners’ impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester United on New Year’s Day.

Kolasinac went into the game having not featured since mid-December due to injury. And it did appear that the left-back was struggling at times before he was replaced with just over 20 minutes remaining.

Nevertheless, any difficulties he endured did not have an impact on his performance. The 26-year-old was excellent as he faced a potentially-tricky task dealing with Daniel James.

But it is clear who the Arsenal supporters thought came out on top in that battle. James being taken off 10 minutes before Kolasinac perhaps provides a clue regarding who they felt the victor was.

What was particularly impressive was that Kolasinac also produced a strong performance despite being a yellow card away from being sent off from the third minute onwards.

And plenty of Arsenal fans have taken to social media to laud the Bosnia and Herzegovina international’s display.

It was his marauding run up the pitch that played a key role in the opening goal. And it was his cross that was deflected into Nicolas Pepe’s path before he found the back of the net.

The supporters have praised Kolasinac for playing through the pain barrier. And they hope that he has now turned under a corner under Mikel Arteta after a superb display.
