A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from Sky Sports concerning the future of Sead Kolasinac as the January transfer window looms.

Left-back is something of a problematic area for the Gunners right now. The club confirmed on their official website on Monday that Kolasinac is set to be sidelined until January. Meanwhile, Kieran Tierney is likely to be out until March.

Nevertheless, it appears that Mikel Arteta is going to be given the chance to sell the Bosnia and Herzegovina international next month.

Sky Sports reports that Napoli are interested in signing the 26-year-old in January. Meanwhile, Roma are eyeing a move in the summer when Aleksandar Kolarov’s contract at Stadio Olimpico expires.

Kolasinac – who earns £100,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – has come in for criticism during his time with the Gunners. But the reports appear to have divided a number of supporters on social media.

Arsenal fans divided

Some believe that Arsenal should be happy to offload the former Schalke man. There appears to be plenty of hope that Tierney will establish himself as a key player in that role when he is back fit.

However, there are others who are adamant that selling in January would be a huge mistake. With Tierney absent for the majority of the season, letting Kolasinac go would be a big gamble.

It would be interesting to see how different the reaction would be if Tierney was not sidelined. But it appears that it would divide some of the fans if Arteta gave Kolasinac’s exit the green light when the window opens.
