Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Odilon Kossounou reports
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mirror over the weekend concerning Club Brugge youngster Odilon Kossounou.
Mikel Arteta is heading into another crucial summer window following his first full season in charge at the Emirates. And having come in for a lot of criticism at times this term, he will know how imperative it is that he gets things right when the window opens.

And according to the Mirror, one of his top targets is Kossounou. It is claimed that both Gervinho and Emmanuel Eboue have provided glowing references about the 20-year-old.
The Mirror suggests that Kossounou is set to cost around £8.5 million plus add-ons. Intriguingly, the report labels the Ivory Coast international a midfielder. However, he is predominantly a centre-back who has very occasionally pushed forward into a holding role.

And his position seems to have put a lot of Arsenal fans off. The Gunners seem to be well-stocked at centre-back. And they have the likes of William Saliba and Konstantinos Mavropanos set to return from loan spells in the coming months.
Others are less convinced because he is more of an unproven talent. Admittedly, he has played five times in the Champions League this year.
But there are also a couple of supporters who are excited by the links. Some who have seen a little more of Kossounou believe that he has an incredibly bright future ahead.
With that in mind, here is how some of the Arsenal fans have reacted to the reports…
We dont need centre-backs again.. Sign midfielders that can play ball for once..

can we not just buy a proven CB? would that be too much to ask

Why do we need another CB 🤦🏻♂️ we should be looking for a RB and LB (cover for Tierney)

David luiz replacement?

Another CB I’d take it if we don’t give luiz an extension but we’ve got enough CB otherwise

He played briefly for my favourite local club in Stockholm as a teenager. Think he has a great future ahead of him
