A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Miguel Azeez’s performance as the Gunners’ under-21s put one foot in the knockout stages of the EFL Trophy with a win on Tuesday night.
Arsenal supporters would be forgiven for mainly getting excited about Eddie Nketiah’s superb achievement in becoming England’s all-time leading goalscorer at under-21 level on the same night.

But Azeez’s time in the spotlight will definitely come. The 18-year-old was outstanding for the Gunners as they beat Crawley 2-1 to move to within one point of topping the group.
He was causing problems in the first-half with some superb bursts into the final third. He also came close to scoring as a smart move led to Azeez sliding his effort just past the post.
It was also his gorgeous pass with the outside of his right foot that set the visitors on the way for their opening goal.

And it was another moment of brilliance from Azeez that decided the game in the second-half.
He was, once again, pushing towards the edge of the box when the ball ended up in his path. He unleashed a wonderful strike into the bottom corner for his first goal of the campaign.
And plenty of Arsenal fans are insisting that it can only be a matter of time before he makes his debut for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Of course, the Gunners look to be developing into an impressive team under the Spaniard. So it may not be easy for Azeez.
But many are convinced that, with his talent, a senior bow is inevitable at this point.
Here is how some of the fans reacted to his performance…
