A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on recent reports from the Daily Mirror suggesting that the Gunners will attempt to loan Mesut Ozil out in January.

Ozil has only featured for Unai Emery’s side twice this season. The Germany international played 71 minutes of the 2-2 draw with Watford last month. But that remains his only league appearance of the campaign.

He was left out of the matchday squad for Monday’s trip to Old Trafford. And it appears that his days at the Emirates could be numbered if Arsenal get their way.

The Daily Mirror has reported that the Gunners are looking to loan the 30-year-old out in January, and are willing to pay some of Ozil’s £350,000-a-week wages to help facilitate a move.

The report notes that Ozil himself could prove to be a stumbling block. The midfielder reportedly stayed in the summer after deciding that he did not want to leave. And he could decide to block an exit again when the window opens in January.

The reports have divided some of the Arsenal supporters on social media. There are plenty who are backing Emery and believe that Ozil is not doing enough when he does get a chance to justify his eye-watering wages.

However, there are others who want Emery to change his mind and bring Ozil back into the fold. And in fact, there are some who would rather see the Arsenal boss go than the midfielder.

Here is what some of the Gunners fans are saying about the latest reports on Ozil…
