Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Maurizio Sarri reports
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on links with Maurizio Sarri, with Football Italia suggesting that talks have been held about the 62-year-old moving to the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta continues to have a real point to prove in North London. The Gunners have endured another difficult campaign.
It could still end with Europa League glory. But should they miss out on that trophy, he is bound to face questions about his future with Arsenal.
Football Italia has, in fact, claimed that Arteta is expected to leave the Gunners at the end of the season. And Sarri is a contender to replace him.
The report has suggested that talks are being held with the former Chelsea man. They even say that Tottenham are also in discussions with Sarri.
Probably unsurprisingly, the idea of Sarri coming in at Arsenal has divided supporters on social media.
Some have no interest in seeing him replacing Arteta. He did not always have the best time with the likes of Chelsea and Juventus. And that has left some concerned.
However, there are plenty who are very keen on Sarri. For some, that is down to the lack of faith in the direction Arteta may be taking the Gunners in.
But others clearly believe that Sarri would be an exciting appointment at what looks to be a crucial point for Arsenal.
With that in mind, here is what some of the fans make of the links…
Sarri would be so good

Not happening anyways but I wouldn’t have Sarri, his tenure at Chelsea and Juve tells me enough he’s not made for complex organization like Arsenal. Phenomenal coach but not a man for the job at a club like Arsenal.

Lovely manager but he needs too many facilitating players to play ball

Please no! 🙏

Would take him tomorrow. Not the best but a better option than what we have.

Attacking football … Actual style if play … Sense of direction .. not a bad shout …. Would like Gasperini or Ten Haag though if we get rid of Arteta
