Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Kieran Tierney’s display vs Watford

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Kieran Tierney’s display as the Gunners rounded off their Premier League campaign with a 3-2 win.

The FA Cup final may yet provide the Arsenal supporters with a highlight. But it seems fair to say that the league campaign has been one that many fans will already be ready to forget.

There have been some promising signs. Mikel Arteta looks to be the right man to take the club forward, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has continued to be outstanding.

There have been other impressive performers along the way. And one of those who has been lauded by the supporters is Tierney, particularly after his display on Sunday.

The left-back continues to impress with almost every performance he produces. After a slow start, the Scotland international has arguably established himself as one of the first names on Arteta’s team sheet.

Many felt that he was one of the few who can be pleased with his display against the Hornets. He also bagged the Gunners’ second goal during the first-half.

It has been a tough campaign for the defender. Injuries looked set to define his first year in North London. He had made just 11 appearances in all competitions before the season was halted.

But he has arguably been one of Arsenal’s best players since the campaign’s resumption. And many are hoping that he can focus on kicking on next season and further establishing himself as a fan favourite at the Emirates.
