Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Gabriel's display at Manchester City
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to laud Gabriel Magalhaes’s performance for the Gunners as they were beaten 1-0 at Manchester City on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta’s side showed some further promising signs at the Etihad Stadium. And they certainly had the chances to find an equaliser during the second-half.

They definitely had a case for a penalty in the final moments of the first-half. Kyle Walker raised his foot as Gabriel headed the ball towards goal. Interestingly, the officials showed little interest in checking the decision as everyone left the field for the interval.
Gabriel did not get that particular decision. But there is no question that he can be incredibly happy with his performance against the Cityzens.

The 22-year-old has made an incredibly bright start to life at the Emirates. And he was arguably one of Arsenal’s best performers on Saturday.
As shown by Whoscored.com, he completed the most successful passes of any Arsenal player in the loss. He also made two clearances and one interception.
Understandably, there was plenty of disappointment amongst Gunners fans on social media after the full-time whistle. However, many still praised Gabriel.
Several are clearly convinced that he has already claimed a spot in Arsenal’s best backline. It is certainly looking as though his £23.1 million fee (via BBC Sport) is going to prove to be an absolute bargain for Arteta’s men.
Here is how some of the fans reacted to his display this weekend…
Gabriel looks a player. Very happy with him.

Gabriel with another solid performance.
Underrated signing. Proving to be a bargain.
Arteta really must be regretting not starting him at Anfield in the Prem.

Saka Tierney and gabriel our best players tonight
Away to liverpool and city already this season that’s the toughest away games this season out the way and we haven’t disgraced ourselves….— Rjay (@AfcJAYb) October 17, 2020
Gabriel had a few misplaced passes but I was very impressed with him yet again! Luiz was solid but I don’t think Bellerin and Tierney had their best performances today but they we’re decent so no complaints really.

Gabriel and Tierney are our main players right now for arsenal. They are on another level at times and they are reason we don’t get smashed and also why we get attacking so calm

Gabriel is a Monster by the way. Going to be so good for us. Saka so lively, such a good player at receiving the ball on the turn and moving into great areas. 2 positives to take from today. We move. #UTA #AFC #MCY #EPL

Saka and Gabriel were absolutely immense today. Both so young and still so new to the Premier League, taking to it superbly. #afc

Gabriel is brilliant, top top signing. Him and Tierney down the left hand side is a god send, we just need to sort the right hand side now

Another class performance by Gabriel. Can’t wait to see him and Saliba in a few years
