Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Emerson Royal interest reports

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Mundo Deportivo this week claiming that the Gunners want Emerson Royal.

Mikel Arteta may want to consider signing a new right-back this summer. The Telegraph recently suggested that there are doubts over Hector Bellerin’s long-term future at the Emirates.

And it appears that Emerson is on their radar. According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Betis are aware that the Gunners want the 22-year-old.

There is a potential problem for Arsenal however. The report noted that Betis and Barcelona both contributed to his 2019 move from Atletico Mineiro. And Barca have the option to bring him to the Nou Camp this summer.

So it appears that Arsenal may have to bide their time before they find out whether the Brazil international is available.

But it seems that plenty of Gunners fans would love to see him move to North London. Several have insisted that he would be an upgrade on the options they already have.

He has scored four and contributed 10 assists in La Liga since the start of last season. And some think that he would be a brilliant addition.
