A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Calum Chambers’s performance during the Gunners’ clash with West Ham at the London Stadium.

It proved to be an incredible game on Sunday. The Hammers raced into a 3-0 lead after 32 minutes. But Mikel Arteta’s men finally got themselves into the game from there and got two goals back before a dramatic late equaliser.

Arsenal’s second came from a sumptuous cross from Chambers – who earns £50,000-a-week, according to Spotrac. The right-back produced a ball that Craig Dawson could only put into the back of his own net.

And that moment seemed to sum up Chambers’s afternoon nicely. The 26-year-old has endured a difficult time. But Sunday’s performance highlighted how good he can be.

His crossing caused problems for West Ham for much of the game. And he certainly contributed in his own penalty area, making a crucial interception to deny Said Benrahma as West Ham pressed for a fourth.

It was Arsenal however, who got the sixth goal of the game to complete the stunning comeback.

It was only Chambers’s second Premier League appearance of the campaign. But it would be little surprise if Arteta planned to hand him several more opportunities before the end of the season based off his latest effort.

Many Arsenal fans lauded him on social media, insisting that he was the best player in what proved to be an amazing fightback from the Gunners.

Here is how some of the fans reacted to his performance…
