Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Boubakary Soumare interest reports

A number of Arsenal fans appear to be extremely excited after French outlet Foot Mercato reported that the Gunners are interested in signing Boubakary Soumare this summer.

As noted by The Telegraph, Arsenal are closing in on sealing a move for Gabriel Magalhaes. And it appears that Mikel Arteta is also interested in his Lille teammate.

Foot Mercato reported earlier this week that Arsenal have been tracking Soumare for some time. However, they face competition from the likes of Manchester United and AC Milan for his signature.

It is not the first time Soumare has been linked with a Premier League move this year. The Sun reported in January that he had snubbed a £35 million transfer to Newcastle United.

But it is clear that a number of Arsenal supporters are hoping that they can succeed where the Magpies failed during the previous window.

He is an excellent box-to-box midfielder who provides the backline with superb protection. He is also a brilliant passer of the ball.

‘Serious prospect’

And at 21, he is only going to get a lot better in the coming years if he makes the right move in his career.

Plenty of Arsenal fans hope that his next switch takes him to the Emirates. They believe that he would be a fantastic signing in what is already shaping up to a very good window for Arteta’s side.
