Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Ben White display vs West Ham

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the performance of Ben White after the Gunners beat West Ham in the Premier League on Wednesday.

The Gunners have moved themselves into the top four as they beat the Hammers 2-0 at the Emirates. Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe scored at either end of the second-half to guide Arsenal to another home win.

It was a big statement from Arsenal who have not had the best results against sides around and above them this season.

And it was yet another clean sheet from Mikel Arteta’s men. That came about with both White and Gabriel Magalhaes keeping Michail Antonio quiet throughout the contest.

The 24-year-old completed 50 passes during the game, according to Whoscored. Meanwhile, he also managed to make five clearances and two successful tackles.

Certainly, it appears that the opinion of White has changed in the opening months of the season. Understandably, many had major concerns after he arrived for such a large fee during the summer transfer window.

But he has been colossal alongside Gabriel. Arsenal sit in mid-table for goals conceded this term. But when you consider that nine of those 22 goals came before the first international break, it is safe to say that White and Gabriel have formed an outstanding partnership.

Plenty of supporters have lauded White’s performance. And they have suggested that few centre-backs in the league have been as impressive as the England international.
