Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Alexandre Lacazette’s display
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Alexandre Lacazette’s display during their 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta has been handed his first defeat since taking charge at the Emirates. It looked however, as if Arsenal were on their way to securing the three points with the home side leading 1-0 with under 10 minutes remaining.

But the turnaround highlighted how much work Arteta has to do in the coming months. And some Arsenal fans appear to feel that moving Lacazette on is one task he must take on in the near future.
The Frenchman arguably did a lot of good work during the game. He looked willing to do a lot of running to try and create spaces for his teammates. But he also seemed to tire dramatically during the latter stages.

And some of the supporters on social media have insisted that he has not been good enough lately. They have slammed the striker’s display against the Blues.
And plenty have implored Arteta to drop him from the starting lineup for the time-being. Some would certainly rather see Gabriel Martinelli get a chance to start ahead of Lacazette.
And it has been suggested by some that Arsenal should be open to selling the former Lyon man in a future window.
Here is how some of the supporters reacted to the 28-year-old’s display against Chelsea…
This bad patch will end, Lacazette is a class player on his day & we all know that. Laca will be back to his very best soon! pic.twitter.com/GnLC3s4Hax

If he wants to play like he has this season, giving no effort week in week out to try and force a move, I hope Arteta plays him at his own game and lets him leave.
Selling Lacazette would be one of the best decisions this club has made in a while

One of the worst games Lacazette has had for us, he’s been really poor lately. If he wants to leave crack on

We have Martinelli, Nketiah and JJ.
Sell Lacazette.

Two games in a row Lacazette cost us points

Lacazette needs to be moved on with investment in younger hungrier players who can actually net goals

Lacazette can’t start the next game. The guy literally gets tired before half time, making our counter attacks futile. There’s no point soaking up pressure if he’s the out ball.

Lacazette is nowhere near as good as people would have you believe.
Thought Torreira was quality again today mind.— R (@King_R_) December 29, 2019
