A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from Football London concerning the Gunners’ stance on Alexandre Lacazette.
As things stand, Mikel Arteta faces a tough decision regarding Lacazette’s future in the coming months. The 29-year-old is Arsenal’s joint top goalscorer in the Premier League this season.

However, as reported by Football London, his contract expires at the end of the next campaign. So this summer arguably represents the last opportunity to secure a significant fee for the Frenchman.
Arsenal could, of course, decide to hand him fresh terms. But Lacazette turns 30 in May. And the Gunners have been left to rue handing new deals to players in their thirties on a few occasions in recent years.
That may explain why Arsenal are apparently willing to consider selling him. According to Football London, they are likely to be open to letting him leave in the summer.

The report has attracted a mixed response from Gunners fans on social media. Some feel that it would be the right decision to cash in.
He is on around £182,000-a-week, according to Spotrac. And there is clearly a section of the fanbase who would be frustrated to see Lacazette leave on a free in 2022.
Others however, want the striker to stay. He has enjoyed a couple of good runs this term. His streak of five goals in four games was crucial as Arteta’s men turned their form around after Christmas.
It is a tricky situation given his contract situation. But some appear to believe that he has more to give and thus, needs to be kept for another year at least.
With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
