Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Ainsley Maitland-Niles’s FA Cup display
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Ainsley Maitland-Niles’s performance during the Gunners’ superb FA Cup final victory over Chelsea.
Mikel Arteta has his first trophy as Arsenal boss. Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw the Gunners come from behind to beat the Blues 2-1 at Wembley.

In truth, there were a number of outstanding performances on show from the Arsenal players. But Maitland-Niles’s display seemed to be amongst those which provided the most pleasant surprise for the Gunners fans on social media.
The 22-year-old was used on the left wing and caused plenty of problems for the Chelsea defence. He provided a brilliant early cross for Aubameyang and posed a threat throughout the game.

Many supporters have lauded Maitland-Niles’s attitude. It has not been the easiest season for the youngster who has struggled for game-time at times this term.
In fact, he has been linked with the Emirates exit. The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in signing the versatile midfielder this summer.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal manage to hold onto Maitland-Niles. The Mail noted that the prospect’s priority is to secure regular game-time next season.
But plenty of fans have implored the club to make sure that they do everything they can to keep hold of Maitland-Niles this summer following his cup final display.
Here is how some of the supporters reacted to his Wembley performance…
AMN has to stay though. He was immense today.

AMN‘s turnaround has been unbelievable.
Dropped for poor attitude a few months ago but has been top-class in multiple positions since the restart.
He has to stay.

Big shoutout to AMN again. Immense so far. Brilliant ball by Tierney again. Pepe ruled out goal unlucky.

We would be silly to get rid of Maitland-Niles this summer. Does a job every time he plays. #AFC

Special mention to Maitland-Niles, I genuinely think the fastest player at Arsenal. We just keep him at all costs #afc 🔴
