'Was so talented': Arsenal fans react as player departs after 12 years a Gunner
Arsenal fans have been giving their reaction to the news that young forward Trae Coyle has left the club to sign for FC Lausanne.
The Gunners confirmed the news via their official website earlier today.
Coyle leaves the club after 12 years as a Gunner. However, he failed to appear for the first-team in that time and spent last season with Gillingham in the EFL.
The 20-year-old striker has now penned a deal with Lausanne, as Mikel Arteta continues to oversee a period of change in North London.
For Coyle, it’s simply a case of moving on and trying his luck elsewhere in the game. So many young players find themselves in a similar situation.
Indeed, Arsenal have had youngsters on their books in the past who have not quite done it with the Gunners but gone on to great things. Serge Gnabry is the biggest example, while Donyell Malen is another.
Arsenal fans, then, have been giving their reaction to the news on social media today.
Gunners supporters wish Coyle well but some fear another Gnabry situation
Arsenal fans on Twitter have been having their say on the move for Coyle today. And while most are simply wishing him well, there’s some who seem concerned.
Some believe it could be another Gnabry, while others feel Mikel Arteta is not quite giving the young players the chances they need.
Here, then, is a look at what some Gunners fans had to say as Trae Coyle penned a deal with Lausanne today.
Was so talented. Injuries couldn’t help.

Best of luck for the future, @TraeCoyle
Wish you got a chance to play for the senior team

Good for him. He’s career would have ended prematurely here. Staying at a club that has no future ambitions. Getting worst every season

We normally release young lads who end up becoming stars elsewhere. Gnabry, Malen. Hope this will be different
