According to The Mirror, Arsenal are preparing to let Ainsley Maitland-Niles leave the club this summer, despite boss Mikel Arteta holding a desire to keep the youngster.
The Gunners need to raise funds for their own recruitment drive and Arsenal hope to raise £30 million from the sale of Maitland-Niles.
The news does come as a shock, not least due to Arteta wanting to keep the 22-year-old and utilise him within his squad next season.

Maitland-Niles played the full 90 minutes as Arsenal lifted the FA Cup last weekend and in total this season he has featured in 33 games.
The beauty of the former England under-21 performer is his versatility. He can operate at right-back, right-midfield or on the left-hand side if needed to do so.
News of this potential departure has come as a shock to some Arsenal supporters and many are demanding the player is kept.
If a club isn’t forthcoming with a suitable offer, the Gunners may look to offload another player so there is a glimmer of hope for his Arsenal future just yet.
Following the news, we looked at a series of Tweets from the Gunners faithful who have been discussing a potential departure for Maitland-Niles.
