Arsenal fans react on Twitter as report names 11 who can leave
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on a report from The Independent which has named 11 players who could leave in the next two windows.
The Gunners are currently going through a period of transition. Mikel Arteta has enjoyed some success by putting greater faith in the younger members of his squad in recent times.

But with that, Arsenal have a number of players now on the fringes of the squad. And unsurprisingly, Arteta is looking to trim his ranks over the coming months.
The Independent claims that the Spaniard is keen to offload up to eight players this month and in the summer, and it has named those who are either dispensable or could be available.

According to The Independent, Shkodran Mustafi, Mohamed Elneny, Calum Chambers, Reiss Nelson, Folarin Balogun, Joe Willock, Mesut Ozil, Sokratis Papastathopoulous and Sead Kolasinac are in the dispensable category.
Meanwhile, offers will be considered for Lucas Torreira and Konstantinos Mavropanos, according to the report.
Understandably given the number of names on the list, the reaction to the report has been mixed. There are clearly some members of the squad who need to be moved on.
But there are some names which have caused some confusion amongst fans. Balogun certainly looks to be the player most supporters want to hold onto.
‘Doesn’t make sense’
Nelson looks to be almost as popular, but there is also some disappointment that players such as Elneny and Willock are included.
Here is how some of the Arsenal fans have reacted to the report…
Balogun and Nelson is a joke. They are huge stars for the future

Balogun and Nelson in 5 years will be looked at like Gnabry if we let them go. Big mistake🥲

Willing to trust the process, but surprised Arteta wants rid of Reiss Nelson, Willock & Balogun. Doesn’t make sense.🤔

Balogan and Nelson over Nketiah and Willian

Balogun and Nelson will be the new Gnabry.

Take away Nelson and Balogun from that list!

Balogun’s contract expires in the summer and it looks unlikely that he will sign a new contract so it makes sense to try sell him this January. Looks a great talent but some money is better than no money

Balogun is a future star. They should sign him on a long term deal and send him on loan

Don’t understand why Elneny would be shipped away; very good squad player, whenever he’s on the pitch he does his job properly.

I will never forgive @m8arteta and @Arsenal if they sell Balogun and Nelson.
