Arsenal fans react on Twitter as Gunners reportedly eye Philippe Coutinho

Arsenal may be making some excellent progress under Mikel Arteta, but there are plenty of supporters who believe that Philippe Coutinho would take the Gunners to another level following intriguing reports from the Daily Mirror.

Coutinho’s future looks to be very much up in the air this summer. The 27-year-old is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, and the Mirror reports that the Bavarian side have the option to make his move permanent for £100 million this summer.

However, the Mirror notes that Bayern are not planning to activate that clause. And that appears to have prompted a number of Premier League sides to consider a move for the Brazilian.

According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are one of four English clubs to enquire about Coutinho. Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester United have also asked about the former Liverpool man.

It is noted that all of the sides are only interested in taking Coutinho on loan. So it remains to be seen whether any manage to convince Barca to let him go.

While there are some concerns about signing Coutinho, the large majority of Arsenal fans on social media appear to be in favour of a move.

They believe that he would be a perfect replacement for Mesut Ozil if the German left. And some are convinced that, on loan, he could prove to be a sensational signing this summer.

Here is how some of the Arsenal fans have reacted to the reports…
