Arsenal fans react on Twitter as Granit Xhaka shines for Switzerland
Switzerland earned a credible 1-1 draw against Germany last night, with Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka stealing the show.
The newly announced captain of the Swiss team was in fine form and one particular pass of his has seen Arsenal fans blown away on Twitter.
Xhaka has divided opinion among the Gunners faithful and last October endured a torrid time with the supporters.
He was jeered from the field during a draw with Crystal Palace, subsequently stripped of the armband by then boss Unai Emery.

Under the influence of Mikel Arteta, however, he has been a revelation. The 27-year-old played in all but two of Arsenal’s games after the restart and helped the club to lift the FA Cup.
The £100,000-a-week (Spotrac) maestro looks like being a big player for the Gunners going forward and on last night’s form that won’t be a bad thing.
Xhaka was up against Toni Kroos last night and gave the German a torrid time during the share of the Nations League spoils.
Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring for Germany but a Xhaka inspired display helped the Swiss grab a point thanks to Silvan Widmer.
The Arsenal man’s array of passing was on point and he showcased exactly what he is capable of when on top form.
Arsenal fans were quite simply blown away by their former captain and took to Twitter to speak of their delight.
Here is a selection of Tweets from the Gunners faithful regarding the performance of Xhaka.
