Gueye, who has also played for France’s Under-19 side despite not being at one of the so-called big French clubs which dominate the Under-19 and Under-21 sides, is now also captaining Le Havre.

Indeed, he has captained the in his last two appearances. Now, Arsenal are believed to be having a look at him but face competition from the likes of AC Milan, Fiorentina, Udinese and Sevilla. He has a contract until the summer of 2021.

The report claims Gueye is a ‘hybrid between N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba’, which is likely to pile the pressure on Gueye but it also says a lot about his potential.
