A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter after it was reported that Zinedine Zidane has decided to leave Real Madrid this summer.
The Gunners have been monitoring Zidane’s situation incredibly closely with Mikel Arteta’s men looking at extending Martin Odegaard’s stay in North London.

Odegaard arrived during the January transfer window. And while he endured some difficult periods at the Emirates, he arguably proved to be an incredibly exciting signing.
There were plenty of moments where the Norwegian showed exactly why he has been something of a household name since the age of 15.
Unsurprisingly, Arsenal are interested in keeping Odegaard beyond this season.

However, it appears that their hopes have been dealt a huge blow.
The Sunday Mirror (23/5; page 74) reported at the weekend that Odegaard may be allowed to leave on loan once again – but on two conditions.
Zidane exit may make fresh Odegaard move unlikely
It was claimed that Luka Modric signing a new deal would boost Arsenal’s hopes. And it was also deemed to be crucial that Zidane stays.
Modric has penned his new contract. However, as reported by the Guardian, Zidane has decided to leave the Bernabeu.
And following the news, plenty of Arsenal fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment.
‘Odegaard will be going back to Madrid’
Many feel that Zidane’s decision has ended their hopes of holding onto Odegaard.
Some seem less concerned with other names being linked. But for others, it is a real shame that their hopes of keeping Odegaard have seemingly been dealt a huge blow.
Here is how some of the Arsenal fans have reacted to the news…
