Young Arsenal defender Jordi Osei-Tutu has joined German outfit VfL Bochum for the 2019/20 season, as confirmed by the club’s official website.
The 20-year-old full back will be looking to force himself into the first team at his new club, who play in the German second division.
A club statement said: “We wish Jordi the best of luck for his time with Bochum. The loan deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”
But with Arsenal short on defenders, with Hector Bellerin injured and no obvious cover at right back, many supporters took to Twitter to ask why their club has let Osei-Tutu leave on loan.

With money at a premium, now could be the ideal time for the Gunners to blood some youngsters into the first team picture.
That’s especially the case at right back, where Ainsley Maitland-Niles – who is a central midfielder by trade – is perhaps the most likely option to start the season.
