Arsenal fans react as wonderkid Vanderson is linked

Arsenal will go in search of new players this summer and one name that has emerged as a target is Brazilian wonderkid Vanderson.

According to respected South American journalist Jorge Nicola, the Gunners are in the mix to sign the prospect.

Signing the Gremio youngster won’t come easily. He has recently penned a new deal with a release clause of £86 million.

It’s anticipated, however, that the new deal is simply to allow the Brazilian club the chance to recoup a higher fee.

Vanderson operates as a right-back and it’s fair to say that he is in the modern-day mould.

A recent clip has gone viral which shows him scoring a superb solo goal – and Arsenal fans have been reacting on Twitter.

During his moment of magic he cuts in from the right, pirouettes to leave two defenders stunned before playing a delicious one-two and lashing a shot low into the net.

It’s certainly not something out of Hector Bellerin’s playbook and Arsenal fans like the look of him.

During the 2021 campaign he has scored two goals from 18 appearances and has established himself as the first-choice right-back.

At 19 he is very highly-rated in South America and looks destined for Europe at some point.

Following the clip of his goal going viral and the links to a potential transfer, Arsenal fans seem pretty keen for Mikel Arteta to pounce.

A right-back will clearly be needed, with Bellerin on his way out of the Emirates Stadium.

Others have been linked with a move to North London and perhaps a tried and tested option would be more favourable.

Fans would welcome Vanderson though. He is exciting, supremely talented and would surely welcome a move to England.
